The objective of this article from Worldviews of Evidence-Based Nursing is to review literature focusing on the following PICOT (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome, Time) question: “In clinicians, how does engagement of leadership compared to nonengagement of leadership affect the adoption, sustainability, and compliance of practice changes?” A literature search was conducted using CINAHL, ERIC, PubMed, and Joanna Briggs Institute databases and limited to the last 10 years. Key search terms, utilizing Boolean operators, included clinician, nurse, managers, leadership, leaders, engagement of leaders, engagement of managers, engagement of leadership, adoption, practice change, clinical practice change, and sustainability. Articles were critically appraised to determine reliability, validity, and applicability; 10 articles were identified for inclusion.
