About the Author

Dr. Patricia E. Thompson is the Chief Executive Officer of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International. She has served in a variety of leadership positions in STTI including international president from 1999-2001. Prior to assuming the CEO position, she was faculty and Associate Dean for Academic Programs at UAMS College of Nursing. Dr. Thompson is also a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing.
