Speaker Bio

Chirstopher Friese, PhD, RN, AOCN, FAAN
Christopher Friese (Rho Chapter) is the Elizabeth Tone Hosmer Professor of Nursing, Health Management and Policy at the University of Michigan, where he leads an interdisciplinary research program focused on improving the quality and safety of care delivery. He has authored over 100publications, including seminal work that examines the association between nurses' work environments and an array of patient and nurse outcomes. Dr. Friese is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine. In addition to his federally-funded research program, Dr. Friese maintains an active clinical practice at the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center.
