Faculty Instruction Guide - Online Course

This course, consisting of five lessons, is designed to help you better understand nursing education as you move forward in your role as a nursing faculty member. The focus is on understanding curriculum and course development, teaching methods, evaluation strategies and practices, along with the use of technology and social media as tools in nursing education.

After completing this course, learners will be able to:

About the Author

Patricia A. Keresztes, PhD, RN, CCRN, is an associate professor of nursing at St. Mary's College in Notre Dame, Ind., USA. She has more than 13 years of experience teaching undergraduate nursing students. Dr. Keresztes also works as a staff member in the intensive care unit at St. Mary Community Hospital and has more than 25 years of critical care experience.

Dr. Keresztes has presented at several nursing education conferences including the National League for Nursing's Education Summit. In her role as a faculty member, Dr. Keresztes has extensive experience in course development, curriculum review and the course accreditation process. She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, the American Nurses Association, the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International and the National League for Nursing.
